1. What these terms cover
These terms apply when you use the Chaza website or app (www.chaza.online) to buy airtime, mobile data or prepaid electricity. By creating an account or buying, you agree to them. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.
2. Your account
Keep your password private. You are responsible for purchases made with your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else is using it. We may suspend an account to prevent fraud.
3. Prices and payment
- All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR). The total you pay — the value you buy plus any Chaza service fee — is shown on the “Check and pay” screen before you pay.
- Payments are processed by Yoco on its secure payment page. Chaza does not see or store your card details.
- A purchase is only accepted once Yoco confirms your payment. We may decline or hold a purchase for a safety check (for example very large or unusual purchases); if we decline it you are refunded in full.
4. Delivery, cancellations and refunds
See our Delivery, cancellations & refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Your responsibilities
Enter the correct cellphone or meter number. Do not use Chaza for anything unlawful, including fraud or using a card that is not yours.
6. Network and supplier services
Airtime, data and electricity are supplied by the relevant networks, municipalities and suppliers through our service provider. Their own terms apply to how the airtime, data or electricity is used (for example bundle expiry dates).
7. Our responsibility
We take reasonable care to deliver every purchase correctly and promptly. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. Otherwise, our responsibility for any purchase is limited to delivering it or refunding what you paid for it.
8. Privacy
How we use your personal information is explained in our Privacy policy.
9. Complaints and disputes
Please contact us first — we want to fix any problem. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or the National Consumer Commission. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The version shown when you make a purchase applies to that purchase.
